I’m Ryan Waggoner, an independent mobile developer and consultant.
I spend most of my time helping mobile-focused startups bring their MVP to market, gain traction, and hit their next milestone, whether fundraising or revenue.
I’ve been doing independent web and mobile development and consulting since 2007. During that time I’ve built and launched dozens of complex web and mobile apps, and helped grow them to millions of users. I’d love the opportunity to help you take your business to the next level if things are a good fit for my expertise. Take a look at some of the examples below and then let’s chat.

Here are a few of the many examples of work I’ve done over the last few years:
Rebuilt the iOS version of this from scratch (solo), several hundred thousand active users. Very complex architecture, payments model, with both iPhone and iPad versions.
I worked with the Domino team to build the first version of this app. I helped scope and architect the API, coordinated the design process, and then built the actual application from the designs that our team put together.
Built the MVP mobile app to connect and manage this hardware water meter that helps users conserve water usage, detect leaks, and more.
HOME by Fannie Mae
I was the solo iOS dev on this app for Fannie Mae that helps prospective homeowners walk through their options and calculate different payments, early payoff scenarios, etc.
I built the backend and multiple apps for this self-checkout point-of-sale system, as well as significant consulting on technical strategy, deployment and maintenance, and more.
I built the first version of this app, and handled maintenance of the app as we iterated the product while fundraising and doing customer testing.
World Wine Challenge
I built the iPhone and iPad versions of this, as well as the backend server architecture. Sadly, it’s no longer actively maintained.
Led team that built initial iOS framework and MVP for this and other related ecommerce apps.
Also, here are some screenshots from work on apps for Nike and a couple other startups, all of which are now defunct, unfortunately:
I’ve got a few dozen other apps that I’ve worked on solo or part of a team, so let me know what else you’d like to see or concerns you have and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
